Acknowledgment of Country
Wollangarra stands on the traditional land of the Gunai/Kurnai people, the traditional owners of much of what is now Gippsland.
Wollangarra wishes to pay its respects to the Gunai/Kurnai people, and to elders past, present, and future. In particular, Wollangarra offers its respect to the descendants of the Braiakaulung clan whose relatives have lived on this land for time immemorial. Wollangarra acknowledges the Gunai/Kurnai people who continue to own, practice, and share their unique knowledge and connection to country.
Wollangarra seeks to bring old knowledge and young minds together to foster an ethic of custodianship. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.
